This is me in a field.

Hello, my name is Keith Swafford. I am a design researcher based out of Los Angeles, CA.

I use ethnographic approaches, field immersions and old-fashioned desk research to unveil complex human needs, behaviors, and perspectives. I graduated from Biola University with a major in Biblical and Theological Studies. Later, I studied UX Design at General Assembly.

My philosophy is the best designs happen before any pixels are pushed or code is shipped. It saves companies money, time, and ultimately satisfies users.

In the past, I have worked with software development shops, non-profits, and enterprise companies on an array of projects from websites, print media, company rebranding and positioning, and mobile apps.

When I'm not designing, my wife and I are finding new plants for our apartment, trying sour beers, or discovering LA's best coffee shops.
